I have just finished reading the book titled, The Lexicographer’s Dilemma: The Evolution of ‘Proper’ English, from Shakespeare to South Park by Jack Lynch. I must say, this book is such a fantastic book that has opened my eyes to the English language. The saying “History repeats itself” is a saying that fits very well with this book, because it tells of the constant battles to prevent the changing of the English language. It bewilders me how so many people tried so hard with out as to make a dent in the fashioning of our language. The book is quite informative and I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn the roots of the very language we speak.
I miss the good ‘ol days when you were a kid and had no worries and the only thing that would stress you out was getting in trouble….=/

The Leaves:,It was a windy as hell day today, so my dad asked me to rake some leaves after school. Not a big deal, atleast…I thought so. I start raking, iPod blaring Green Day in my ears (yeah, I like green day, I’m gay), and I was going for about thirty minutes. But then it went downhill. I had a nice pile built up, and I was gonna keep building until he came.
The Hobo: A homeless man came hobbling down the alley directly across from my house. He had a handle of Jack in one hand and a cane in the other. He starts coming towards my house, but I really didn’t think anything of it, but then, he gets close to me. I wanted to go inside, but I really didn’t have enough time, and I figured that if something was to happen, he was drunk and I had my cell phone. So against my better judgment, I stayed outside. He hobbles up to me, and I take my headphones out. He mumbled something or another, I didn’t know, but then dropped his cane, lifted his hand, and slapped me in the shoulder. Hard. not a soft slap. It seriously hurt, but as he slapped me, he yelled “Tag! Youre it!”. In my head I was saying, “wtf?”. He then sprinted off in a dead sprint towards the literal busiest street in my town. Didn’t look or yield for cars, and of course. The one thing I didnt want to happen. He got hit. 30 mph head on hit. I was in such shock, but my adrennaline kicked in and I called 911. they were on their way. This is where I felt bad, because the worst idea ever came to me.
The LaughsI run up to the street, surrounded by a huddled mass of people. He’s laying on the ground, coughing up blood, almost dying. I went up to him, knelt down, touched his shoulder slightly, and said “Tag..I win”. And walked off as the paramedics came. win? or lose..

Quite an interesting article, I never thought I would live to see the day that we would even be close to seeing even close to a cure for AIDS, but now that we are having a vaccine that shows “promise”, I don’t doubt that we AIDS could be abolished within the next decade. It’s amazing to be a part of something like this because AIDS has been the biggest fear of most peoples lives, and this will be a great way to give people hope.
